Ramix Recordings is an independent record label launching in Fall 2017 that is operated and maintained by Ramapo College Music Industry students with the supervision of Music faculty. The label is designed to highlight Ramapo’s outstanding student talent and to supplement what students learn in Music Industry classes with real world, hands-on experience. The development and launch of the label was part of the curriculum for the Spring 2017 Marketing and Management in the Music Industry and Advanced Business of Music classes. Students in the MMMI course selected the artists and created promotional materials which are incorporated into the label website. Advanced Business of Music students drafted the contract for the 14 artists who were selected. Volume 2 of Ramix was released in Fall 2018 with another set of talented student artists.
